They can't cope with the fact that Trek is CLEARLY superior to Dr. Fruit in every way.
Billions of dollars made worldwide and translated into Spock knows how many different languages. An incredibly successful and ongoing film franchise. And a number of highly successful spin-offs that are STILL in syndication worldwide.
Trek has bigger/better highly bankable stars and incredibly gifted actors. Trek has the pinnacle of monsters and baddies. All mostly ripped off by the entire Dr. Who team. FACT! Of course, they'll shriek and wail that the Borg ripped off their Cybusmen. Not true.
The difference between the two? The Borg are successful! FACT! Those Cybusmen couldn't take over the Universe. The Borg can. FACT!
Their Darleks? Please. The Klingons are better warriors than those things will ever be. FACT!

well dr who is a bigger show, its run for longer, its way more imaginatve, and dr who hasnt touched star trek, its had references to i, the cybermen didnt rip off nothing, the cybermen and daleks ar very succesful andvery sci fi-ish, every sci fi show has its different ideas, and a time traveller is even better than space travelleres
ReplyDeletethe dr sees planets, past, futur and present and is a more epic show, and it isnt americanised either. quite a few of dr whos actors an actressees are cool too so you just go and watch star trek reruns while we watch the glorius series of dr who, if star trek wa that good why did it get cancelled? twice! since the last one its been like one fim, thats it, no new series, and dr who started several years before star trek as well. dr who is way better but we both have opinions so you can just go off and masturbate to spock and that woman out of voyager, while we enjoy epi tales with the dr an his hot companions, good-bye

The new series of Doctor Who is currently broadcast in 42 different countries. Dont think i can say the same of star trek...
ReplyDeleteSuccessful film franchise? Perhaps... But ongoing? Only recently has it come back to the big screen. During the years Doctor Who was off air it was survived by countless books, comics and audio stories.
Star Trek's spin offs? They are almost the same idea rehashed. Doctor Who's spin offs, such as the The Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood are based on ideas far more different from their parent show and are also experiencing great popularity. And not only are they being syndicated but new series made too.
So the Borg are not a copied idea from the cybermen simply because, in your opinion, the idea of the cybermen failed? Not saying that they were copied in the first place but your argument is really not supported by strong evidence here.
And i dont think i have ever heard someone shriek, or for that matter wail, that the borg is a copied idea of the cyberman or vice versa.
Whether or not the cybus cybermen could take over the universe or not is completely up to the plot of the story they occur in. Not necessarily your judgement.
And the FACT that the Klingons are better warriors than the Daleks? Perhaps it is a fact in your mind but this theory could never be proved right or wrong, FACT or FICTION unless the two battled in a controlled scientific non-fictional real world environment.
At last, some real FACTS.
